We are excited to have started our research at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. We aim to explore new aspects of organic chemistry with the particular interest of generating synthetic scaffolds that offer highly specific reagents for biological studies. Debabrata's paper about the inhibition of islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP) aggregation by macrocyclic host Cucurbituril was accepted as a "Hot Paper" in Chemistry-A European Journal. Aggregation of IAPP is associated with Type 2 Diabetes.
